Job Description_ Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor and manage cash flow, banking transactions, and financing arrangements.
Handle tax compliance including VAT, GST, TDS, excise duties, and other automotive sector–related taxes.
Conduct cost analysis for vehicles, spare parts, inventory, and workshop operations.
Ensure compliance with automotive industry regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with sales, service, and spare parts departments to track revenues and expenses.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.
Experience in dealership management systems (DMS), ERP, or automotive accounting software.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally).
Analytical mind-set with strong problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s/CA/CPA is an advantage).
