MERN Stack Lead Developer

About Us

We are a fast-growing startup building a state-of-the-art platform integrated solutions spanning customer wallets, sales partner management, service provider management, payment gateways, CRM platforms, helpdesk systems, dispatch & fleet management, and automated communications. Our core tech stack includes Next.js (React), Node.js, Express.js, Supabase (PostgreSQL), and Socket.io. As our Lead Developer, you will guide a small team, set best practices, and ensure our applications are scalable, secure, and high-performance playing a pivotal role in shaping our high-performance platform.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Team Mentorship

• Lead and mentor a team of 2-5 developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards (TDD, clean code, etc.).
• Facilitate agile/scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives), ensuring on-time and high-quality deliveries.

2. Full-Stack Development

• Frontend: Build robust, responsive interfaces with Next.js (React) for dashboards, analytics, and customer-facing modules.
• Backend: Develop RESTful APIs using Node.js, Express.js and manage real-time functionalities with Socket.io.
• Database: Oversee Supabase (PostgreSQL) for schema design, migrations, and query optimization.

3. Third-Party Integrations

• Integrate multiple payment gateways (Razorpay, Paytm, etc.) for customer wallet top-ups, partner payouts, and recurring billing.
• Connect to CRM, helpdesk, dispatch & fleet management, and incident/case tracking tools.
• Implement partner onboarding flows (sales partners, service providers) and maintain compliance checks.

4. Architecture & Best Practices

• Advocate for microservices or modular architecture approach where relevant, ensuring high availability and maintainability.
• Champion DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes and cloud solutions AWS, Azure, GCP in collaboration with the IT/DevOps team.

5. Finance & Compliance

• Coordinate with accounting and billing systems (Zoho, QuickBooks, Tally, etc.) to manage invoices, taxes (GST/TDS), and financial reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure compliance with relevant regulations (data privacy, payment security).

6. Performance & Scalability

• Monitor system performance (server load, response times) and optimize for high-traffic scenarios (e.g., large-scale dispatch, multiple vendor transactions).
• Plan for future growth -Architecture Scalability, ensuring platform can handle increasing data volumes and user bases.

7. Stakeholder Communication

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Provide clear updates to leadership, proactively addressing risks and proposing solutions.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in MERN or related full-stack development, including React/Next.js, Node.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL (Supabase preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership or team mentoring experience in a fast-paced or startup environment.
• Hands-on expertise integrating multiple payment gateways and third-party APIs (CRM, helpdesk, dispatch/fleet, vendor management, etc.).
• Familiarity with Socket.io (or WebSockets) for real-time data exchange.
• Proficiency with Git, agile methodologies, and code review processes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
