Job Description

Job Summary

The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, driving sales performance, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, and achieving business targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Increase store revenue and profitability.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement improvement strategies.
  • Promote upselling and cross-selling activities.

Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.
  • Prepare employee schedules and manage attendance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.
  • Motivate the team to achieve sales goals.

Customer Service

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Monitor service quality standards.

Store Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations.
  • Ensure proper visual merchandising and store presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock levels and product availability.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and inventory checks.
  • Minimize stock loss, damage, and shrinkage.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and warehouse teams.

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Monitor store expenses and budgets.
  • Maintain sales and inventory records.
  • Analyze business performance and market trends.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of retail experience.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
