Designing and developing complex, performant custom components that handle large datasets without breaking a sweat

Creating data visualizations (charts, dashboards, tables) that are both functional and readable

Leveraging Web APIs — Notifications, File, Storage, and others — to deliver rich browser-native experiences

Writing and maintaining tests as a first-class part of development

Collaborating via GitHub — PRs, code review, branching strategy, the works

Technical

1+ year of production experience with Next.js and modern React patterns

Proficiency with a component/styling library — shadcn/ui, Ant Design, Tailwind CSS, or similar

Track record of building high-performance UI with large or complex data

Experience with visualization libraries (e.g. Plotly, D3, Cytoscape.js)

Comfortable working with streaming responses and async data patterns

Practical use of AI coding tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to ship faster without cutting corners

Soft Skills

Strong UI/UX instincts — you notice when something feels off and know how to fix it

Self-directed and effective with minimal supervision

Brings ideas to the table, not just implementation
