Position: Backend Development Intern

About the Internship

VaishaliTech is offering a Backend Development Internship for students and freshers who are eager to work on live projects and gain real-world experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

This internship will give you the opportunity to work with senior engineers, understand API design, database management, server-side logic, and deployment, and prepare you for a career as a Backend Developer.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend logic using Node.js / Express.js

• Design and manage databases (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

• Build and integrate REST APIs for web and mobile applications

• Work with authentication, authorization, and session management

• Debug, test, and improve backend performance & scalability

• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

• Deploy backend applications on cloud servers (AWS/GCP/DigitalOcean)

• Strong understanding of JavaScript / Node.js

• Familiarity with Express.js framework

• Knowledge of databases: MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL

• Basic understanding of REST API architecture

• Familiarity with version control (Git, GitHub)

• Good problem-solving & logical thinking skills

• Eagerness to learn cloud hosting & deployment basics

• Ability to dedicate 15–20 hours per week as per mentor’s guidance
