USD Diagnostic Engineer, C# / .Net
“In this project, you will be doing both software development and diagnostic engineering. It’s not just about building the UI in .NET/WPF — you’ll also be working with UDS over CAN to communicate with ECUs and implement actual diagnostic protocols. The client doesn’t want a pure developer or a pure diagnostic engineer — they need a balanced profile that combines both skill sets.”
This job is a mix of software development and automotive diagnostics
Software Side
You’ll be building a Windows-based application using C#/.NET with WPF. That means designing the user interface and making the tool easy to use.
Diagnostic Side
At the same time, you’ll implement UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) over CAN bus to talk directly to the car’s ECUs (Electronic Control Units). This includes reading error codes, resetting ECUs, flashing firmware, and handling security access.
NOTE:
The client doesn’t want someone who is Pure .NET developer (UI-focused) or only a diagnostic engineer (tool user). They need someone who can code diagnostic protocols into software and also understand how ECUs and CAN communication really work.
We dont want Test engineers who only operate diagnostic tools without developing them.
