Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Administrator / Data Architect with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake administration, architecture, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, and data warehousing. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and managing scalable data warehouse solutions, performing data migration and integration, and optimizing data platform performance. Experience in the retail domain and a strong understanding of modern data modelling techniques are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable Snowflake database and data warehouse solutions, particularly for retail data.

• Manage Snowflake administration, including user access, roles, security, resource monitoring, and performance optimization.

• Develop and maintain data ingestion and processing pipelines using SnowSQL and Snowpipe.

• Perform data migration, data integration, and legacy data platform modernization.

• Design and maintain data warehouses and data marts to support business and analytical requirements.

• Work with OLAP/OLTP systems, dimensional modelling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.

• Perform data profiling, data quality analysis, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

• Develop data extraction and integration modules in collaboration with Data Engineering and Testing teams.

• Identify opportunities to improve data platform performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Contribute to data architecture strategy and technical design decisions.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data architecture, data warehousing, or database administration.

• Strong hands-on experience in Snowflake Administration and Snowflake Architecture.

• Practical experience with SnowSQL and Snowpipe.

• Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and data modelling.

• Experience with OLAP/OLTP concepts and dimensional modelling.

• Knowledge of Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.

• Experience in data migration, data integration, data profiling, and data quality analysis.

• Understanding of Snowflake implementations and use cases in the retail domain.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale enterprise data warehouse implementations.

• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering practices.

• Experience with data warehouse performance tuning and optimization.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
