About Us

Role Overview

The Technical Architect will serve as the chief technology leader for the Rehab Information System SaaS project. They will be responsible for defining coding standards, architecture, and technical design in the early phases, guiding developers and ensuring high-quality, scalable code, and transitioning into deployment, performance optimization, and production readiness once coding and design standards have been established.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Standards (Initial Phase)

Define the overall technical architecture (frontend-backend integration, APIs, databases, cloud).
Establish and document coding standards, best practices, and CI/CD strategies.
Design API contracts, database schemas, and security protocols.
Collaborate with UI/UX Engineer and Product Manager to align technical design with functional flows.
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with standards.

Development Oversight

Provide technical guidance to frontend and backend developers throughout feature implementation.
Resolve complex technical blockers and make key architectural decisions during sprints.
Ensure testability and maintainability of code for long-term scalability.

Deployment & Optimization (Later Phase)

Lead the transition from development to staging and production environments.
Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Oversee performance tuning (API response times, database query optimization, caching).
Ensure staging environment stability for performance testing at 1,000+ concurrent users.
Provide guidance on cloud deployment, infrastructure sizing, and cost optimization.

Security & Compliance

Define and enforce data security, privacy, and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR).
Review architecture and deployments for vulnerabilities and resilience against threats.
Coordinate with QA to ensure secure coding and penetration testing.

Release Readiness & Advisory

Participate in final regression testing, defect triage, and root cause analysis.
Provide technical sign-off for staging and production releases.
Serve as a technical advisor post-launch, ensuring the solution remains stable and scalable as it transitions to operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8+ years of experience in software development with at least 3+ years in architectural leadership roles.
Proven expertise in scalable SaaS architectures, including frontend-backend integrations, APIs, and databases.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and distributed system design.
Solid understanding of security practices and compliance frameworks.
Familiarity with performance testing and optimization techniques for high-concurrency systems.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

Preferred

Previous experience in healthcare or rehabilitation software.
Familiarity with HL7, FHIR APIs, or EMR integrations.
Knowledge of cost optimization and cloud resource scaling.
Experience mentoring technical teams in agile and fast-paced delivery environments
