SQL Server / .NET Core MVC Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development (Back-End):
  
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using .NET Core and MVC architecture.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET Core to support front-end functionality and third-party integrations.
• Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Database Management:
  
• Design and manage SQL Server databases, including creating tables, views, stored procedures, and writing complex SQL queries.
• Implement Entity Framework to interact with SQL databases and ensure efficient data access and management.
• Optimize and tune database queries for performance and scalability.
• Front-End Development:
  
• Develop responsive and interactive front-end user interfaces using Bootstrap and jQuery.
• Ensure that the application is responsive across different browsers and devices.
• Implement dynamic and rich client-side functionality using jQuery to interact with the back-end services.
• Collaboration:
  
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly interfaces and ensure the application is visually appealing and easy to use.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to define requirements and create technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices are followed, and mentor junior developers when necessary.
• Testing and Debugging:
  
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure the application functions as expected.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by users or identified in testing phases.
• Perform thorough testing to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
• Continuous Improvement:
  
• Stay updated with the latest trends in .NET Core, SQL Server, and front-end technologies.
• Suggest improvements to existing applications, tools, or processes to increase performance, security, and scalability.
• Ensure that the application architecture follows best practices for maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Documentation:
  
• Document technical specifications, database schemas, and application processes.
• Prepare end-user documentation and guides when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in .NET Core, MVC architecture, and Entity Framework.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• Experience with jQuery for client-side scripting and interaction with APIs.
• Expertise in front-end development using Bootstrap for responsive web design.
• Strong knowledge of web services (RESTful APIs) and integration techniques.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or SVN.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize code.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ASP.NET Core or ASP.NET MVC.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit).
• Knowledge of modern CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
