Review project requirements and technical specifications to design and develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Identify testing requirements and prepare a clear testing strategy for different types of testing (functional, performance, security, etc.).
Manual Testing:
Perform manual testing of software applications to ensure they meet functional and performance expectations.
Execute test cases, document results, and report defects found during testing.
Re-test after defects are fixed to ensure that issues have been resolved and no new issues have been introduced.
Automated Testing:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts where applicable to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Execute automated tests and analyze results, reporting any failures or discrepancies.
Defect Identification and Reporting:
Identify, document, and report defects in the software to the development team in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
Track the status of defects and work closely with developers to ensure they are fixed appropriately.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand the requirements and functionality of the software being tested.
Provide feedback on system usability and suggest improvements or enhancements where needed.
Regression and Performance Testing:
Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or updates do not negatively impact the existing functionality.
Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate the scalability and stability of the software under various conditions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document test results, defects, and test coverage accurately.
Prepare test reports, highlighting any areas of concern, test completion status, and overall software quality.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the development of better testing practices, tools, and processes to improve the overall quality assurance process.
Keep up to date with new testing methodologies and technologies to enhance the testing process.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in manual and/or automated software testing.
Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman).
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and different types of testing (functional, regression, integration, performance, etc.).
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in automated testing (Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools).
