Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager with a strong background in the education sector to lead and oversee key HR functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performance appraisals, compensation planning, employee engagement, learning & development, and grievance handling. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to implement HR best practices tailored to an academic environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Performance Management & Appraisals

Design and implement performance appraisal systems tailored to faculty and non-teaching staff.

Develop KPIs and performance evaluation metrics aligned with institutional goals.

Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback mechanisms.

Work with department heads to create career progression plans.

Compensation & Benefits Planning

Develop and manage compensation structures that are competitive and aligned with industry standards.

Oversee salary reviews, incentive plans, and benefits administration.

Ensure compliance with labor laws, salary regulations, and tax laws.

Manage payroll coordination in collaboration with the finance team.

Employee Engagement & Well-being

Create and execute employee engagement programs to boost morale and retention.

Organize wellness initiatives and work-life balance programs.

Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and implement necessary improvements.

Foster a positive work culture within the organization.

Learning & Development (L&D)

Identify training needs and implement learning and development programs for faculty and staff.

Collaborate with academic leaders to provide professional development opportunities.

Design leadership development programs and succession planning strategies.

Employee Relations & Grievance Handling

Act as the point of contact for employee grievances, ensuring fair and effective resolutions.

Mediate conflicts and provide counseling when necessary.

Maintain compliance with HR policies and labor laws to mitigate risks.

Compliance & Policy Implementation

Ensure HR policies are up to date and aligned with legal requirements.

Maintain records related to employee contracts, performance, and compliance.

Work with legal advisors to address any HR-related legal matters.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

15+ years of HR experience, preferably in the education sector.

Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance regulations.

Expertise in performance management, compensation planning, and L&D.

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced academic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in HRMS and HR analytics tools.
