Job Description : 

Role Purpose

The MARiS Strategic Product Lead is the senior business owner for the MARiS Shipping solution, responsible for ensuring that product demand, priorities, and enhancements are aligned with business value across:

Chartering

Shipping Operations

Claims Management

The role acts as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, the MARiS vendor (Singular Point), and AGT Digital Solutions, ensuring that MARiS evolves in a controlled, commercially focused, and operationally effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

1. Demand Management & Prioritization

Own the end-to-end MARiS demand backlog across the shipping lifecycle.

Prioritize initiatives based on:

Business value

Operational risk

Financial impact

Act as the single point of accountability for MARiS product priorities.

Ensure compliance with AGT Demand Management processes.

2. Business & Vendor Relationship Management

Build trusted relationships with Singular Point and key business stakeholders.

Ensure clear communication of business priorities and delivery expectations.

Provide informed guidance on MARiS capabilities and limitations.

Minimize rework, ambiguity, and conflicting stakeholder requests.

3. Enterprise Integration Leadership

Provide oversight for MARiS integration with:

Endur ETRM

Deal lifecycle management

Trading and operational alignment

Risk and exposure implications

SAP Finance

Operational cost capture

Accruals management

Accounting integrity and controls

4. Collaboration with Digital Solutions

Translate business demand into delivery-ready requirements.

Support complex initiatives spanning:

MARiS

Endur

SAP

Other operational platforms

Provide continuity across multiple releases and transformation programs.

5. Governance & Stakeholder Management

Build confidence with senior operational and business leaders.

Drive effective governance while maintaining delivery momentum.

Resolve ambiguity through deep domain expertise rather than escalation.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 20+ years' experience in:

Energy

Commodities

Shipping operations

MARiS Experience

Extensive hands-on experience using MARiS in live operational environments.

Strong knowledge of:

Voyage execution

Charter Parties

Claims management

Complex shipping operations

Trading & Integration Knowledge

Strong Endur ETRM expertise.

Understanding of:

Trade lifecycle

Operational integrations

Risk and exposure management

Experience with SAP and finance/accounting processes.

Experience managing product demand and prioritization.
