Senior Backend Developer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer with a strong background in Laravel and a proven track record of building and maintaining robust and scalable applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with API integration, particularly Google Geolocation API, and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in pickup and delivery projects, ideally within a hyperlocal context. This role requires a minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and reliable backend systems using Laravel framework. Integrate third-party APIs, including Google Geolocation API, for location-based services and optimized delivery routing. Develop and implement RESTful APIs to support mobile applications and other services. Work closely with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems. Build and optimize database schemas for performance and scalability. Implement robust security measures to protect user data and ensure platform integrity. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance. Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the platform. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in backend development. Experience with payment gateway integration is a plus. Experience with real-time communication technologies (e.g., WebSockets) is a plus. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in backend development. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Laravel framework. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. Proven experience with API integration, particularly Google Geolocation API. Experience working on pickup and delivery projects, ideally within a hyperlocal context. Solid understanding of database design and optimization (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
