Position Summary
The Vice
President of Sales and Marketing (IT Industry) is responsible for developing and executing
strategies that drive revenue growth, strengthen brand presence, and expand
market share. This role leads both the sales and marketing organizations,
ensuring alignment across go-to-market initiatives and building a
high-performance, customer-focused culture.

Strategic
Leadership
Create and
implement integrated sales and marketing strategies that support company growth
objectives.
Lead annual
planning, forecasting, and budgeting for all sales and marketing functions.
Identify and
evaluate new market opportunities, customer segments, and strategic
partnerships.
Partner
closely with product, finance, and operations teams to align go-to-market
efforts.
Sales
Management
Lead and
develop the sales team, including inside sales, field sales, and account
management.
Set sales
targets, compensation structures, KPIs, and performance management processes.
Enhance
pipeline development, sales forecasting, and CRM effectiveness.
Build and
maintain relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
Marketing
Leadership
Oversee
brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and demand-generation campaigns.
Direct
digital marketing, product marketing, content development, events, and PR.
Ensure
marketing efforts effectively support lead generation, customer acquisition,
and retention.
Use market
research and competitive insights to refine strategies and positioning.
Revenue
& Growth Optimization
Improve
forecasting accuracy and ensure predictable revenue performance.
Optimize
pricing, channel strategies, and customer acquisition costs (CAC).
Monitor
marketing and sales ROI and adjust tactics to maximize growth efficiency.
Team
Leadership
Recruit,
mentor, and retain high-performing sales and marketing talent.
Foster a
collaborative, data-driven, and customer-first culture.
Promote
continuous professional development across the team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s
degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
7+
years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, or business development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
Demonstrated
success driving revenue growth in a fast-paced organization.
Strong
understanding of modern sales methodologies and full-funnel marketing.
Industry-specific
experience preferred (customize for your field).
