Accounting & Human Resources Manager (Based in Chennai, India)


Reporting to General Manager in Singapore, you are expected to:


Finance:

1. Handle the full spectrum of accounting functions and responsible for monthly financial closing in manufacturing environment.

2. Prepare management accounts and financial statements for audit purposes and bookkeeping.

3. Present accounts/financial results to management for monthly reviews and highlight pertinent issues.

4. Perform cost analysis, budgeting, revenue forecasting and cash flow management for the company.

5. Analyze financial position of company and provide feedback and suggestions to the management as to improvements that may be made.

6. Monitor income and expenses of company and manage payroll, check collections and payment including those involving utilities, contractors and other third parties.

7. Responsible for GST-related matters including issuance of tax invoice, submission of GST returns, bookkeeping entries for GST purposes.

8. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and other government bodies for all statutory compliance issues.

9. Ensure proper maintenance of all accounting documentation and records.

10. Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.

11. Managing the Company's accounts to ensure on-time payment and overseeing the deployment of software system (CSI9) for financial needs.


Human Resources:

1. Recruitment of employees via a recruitment process in interviewing, background check, selection and recommendation of compensation and benefits.

2. Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.

3. Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results. Assist supervisor/managers in coaching and discipline employees; scheduling regular sessions with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors.

4. Ensures the company meets all local legal and regulatory employment requirements. Maintaining records, attending updates and disseminating changes to the organization on employment matters.

5. To establish performance management system for the stimulation of employee, the improvement of their work performance, and the support of their self-development.

6. To develop and implement Employee Training & Development Policy/Structure/framework.

7. To set up internal communication channel & flow in the company for establishment of goods & harmonious working environment.

8. To ensure that HR system and procedures meet the requirements of Corporate Quality Standards and that they are maintained and effectively used.

Any other duties & responsibilities which the Management / Superior may assign from time to time.


Requirements:

1. Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance.

2. At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience in a production environment. Strong understanding of local GAAP, USGAAP, and tax regulations (e.g. Custom, Free Trade, Corp Tax).

3. Experience in handling the broad spectrum of HR services including recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and staff development.

4. Sound knowledge of local Employment Act and regulatory requirement.

5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced skillset in Excel.

6. Demonstrated ability to independently complete assignments and draw conclusions.

7. Possess and demonstrate positive mentoring and leadership qualities.

8. Possess strategic mindset, independent, mature and resourceful.

9. A good team player with the ability to interact effectively with all level of Management is essential.

10. A responsible and effective communicator and motivator.
