Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer responsible for protecting the organization’s systems, networks, servers, and data from cyber threats. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in security operations, vulnerability management, firewall management, incident response, and security monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools.
• Implement and manage cybersecurity solutions including Firewall, Antivirus, EDR, IDS/IPS, and DLP.
• Perform Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT).
• Manage endpoint security and network security infrastructure.
• Investigate security breaches and provide incident response support.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend security improvements.
• Configure and maintain security policies, rules, and access controls.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
• Monitor logs and suspicious activities across servers and network devices.
• Coordinate with IT teams for patch management and remediation.
• Prepare security reports, documentation, and audit records.
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Network Security and Cybersecurity concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, Cisco ASA, etc.).
• Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, or LogRhythm.
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC, MFA, EDR/XDR solutions.
• Understanding of Windows/Linux server security.
• Experience in Vulnerability Management tools like Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Routing & Switching.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure/O365 security).
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls.
• Experience with email security and phishing protection.
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is an advantage.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or related field.
• Relevant certifications preferred:
  • CEH
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CISSP
  • CISM
  • CCNA Security
  • Palo Alto / Fortinet Certifications

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Cyber Security / Information Security.
• Experience handling enterprise-level security infrastructure.
• Experience in SOC operations and incident handling preferred.
