Python/FastAPI Development Lead

We’re looking for an experienced Python/FastAPI Development Lead to join an exciting Reinforcement Learning (RL) Gym project. This role involves building scalable APIs, collaborating with ML researchers, and delivering high-quality backend systems to power RL experiments and simulations.

🔍 Role Overview

Design, build, and maintain FastAPI-based services for RL experimentation and simulations.

Collaborate with ML engineers to expose APIs for training and benchmarking.

Write efficient, production-grade Python code emphasizing scalability and maintainability.

Lead a team of developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure engineering best practices.

✅ Requirements

8+ years of Python development; 5+ years of hands-on FastAPI experience.

4+ years of team leadership (5+ members).

Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, async programming, and scalable architecture.

Familiarity with NumPy, Pandas, and optionally PyTorch/TensorFlow.

Experience with SQL or RL environments (OpenAI Gym, Stable Baselines) is a plus.

📌 Engagement Details

Type: Contract | Freelance | Remote

Duration: 3 months (extendable)

Working Hours: 8 hrs/day (minimum 4 hrs overlap with PST timezone)

Payout: ₹800/hour (≈ ₹1,28,000/month for 40 hrs/week)

TDS: 10% (as per Indian Govt. norms)

Start: Immediate joiners preferred
