News Anchor

Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, or a related field Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly and articulately on camera Excellent writing skills and ability to research and write news stories quickly and accurately Comfortable with public speaking and able to handle the pressure of live broadcasting Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take direction Familiarity with news production equipment and software, such as teleprompters and newsroom software Strong understanding of journalistic ethics and standards Flexibility in terms of work schedule, as news anchors may be required to work early mornings, late nights, or weekends Previous experience as a news anchor or reporter is preferred, but not always required.
